Popular cooking show My Kitchen Rules (MKR) will return to TV screens for a third season next month, and although the major sponsor has been kept quiet, Sunbeam confirmed it will provide small appliances for the latest series.
Consequently, fellow small appliance brand Breville will not be involved with MKR in 2012, but has not ruled out the possibility for coming years.
“We won’t be pursuing an association with My Kitchen Rules in 2012 but haven’t ruled it out for the future,” Breville general manager marketing, Scott Brady told www.connectedchefs.com
Breville will continue to work closely with Ready, Steady, Cook this year.
“Ready, Steady, Cook has done a great job at incorporating Breville products actively into the programming, using them regularly and discussing the unique features of the Breville appliances while on air,” said Brady.
“Given it continues to be one of the most popular day time cooking programmes, it exposes Breville to a new audience and enhances our television campaigns. It also does a very good job at giving consumers a reason to buy the product, as opposed to just visual integration,” he added.
Series three of MKR will begin airing after The Australian Open and for the first time a New Zealand team will be joining the show, and is bound to introduce some rivalry.
Manu Feildel and Pete Evans return to host and judge this ultimate home cooking battle as 12 teams-of-two attempt to out-dine and out-wine each other to see whose kitchen rules.
